You know, I really want to write a ship manifesto for tl;dr and discussion, but everything I really like these days is actually canon. :( Maybe I should write one for someone else's otp to practice my argument skills. Any requests~?

what the fuck was this manga and why did the artist Dengeki Bunko commissioned think it was a good idea to make Ladd Russo look like Battler Ushiromiya.

I will admit the fangirl in me had an internal Renge moment in the last ten pages of the chapter during a scene they added after "Oh, I couldn't kill you, uncle! It's not even loaded~", before Ladd's gang gets on the train to murderville.

Ladd: /preening hey Lua I look awesome in this white suit right
Lua: it doesn't suit you.
Ladd: wait what ._.
Lua: /fixing his tie and lapels why didn't you kill him?
Ladd: oh you're talking about me being merciful ahaha, I thought you were talking about the outfit
Placido: /raging
Ladd: /comes out of nowhere, shoots like three guys
Placido: oh fuck
Ladd: /aims, the trigger clicks like four times while Placido is ~shaking and crying~ ... "let's starve a little more before the feast!"
Lua: you're mean.
Ladd: u mad bby
Lua: |D

It was sick but it was too adorable to function. then again everything they do is what Neb calls "a family dinner with cannibals": ridiculously cute if you don't see the fucked up context (in their case, the gurotastic folie a deux and his reasons for jumping off the train to rescue her).

Actually, I think that Ladd and Lua are one of the most perfect couples ever. A sadist and a masochist... it's wonderful! Plus, they have the ultimate sadist/masochist scene going on fairly often:

Our masochist for this scene, Lua: "...Kill me, baby."
Our sadist for this scene, Ladd: "...No."

It's awesome and such an awesome dynamic and sdlkfjsdlkfj.

...I'm introducing some friends to Baccano now, so if I'm overfangirling... that's kind of why. I'm rewatching it for, like, the millionth time as they see it for their first. XD
